Wear something that makes
you feel beautiful!
What should I wear to my senior session?
I get this question all of the time.
The short answer is something that fits you- your vision for your session, your location, and your personality
How do I find the perfect Senior Photographer?
Discuss with your photographer what location you are going to be shooting at and your vision for your senior session. These two factors will decide much of what you are going to wear.
For instance, if you are shooting at a beach, you will not want to wear a prom dress and heels (haha).
Part of my consultation process is learning about who you are- what you enjoy in your spare time.
Are you reserved and laid back? Do you enjoy your alone time?
Are you wild and crazy? Do you like to be the center of attention?
Sweet and Shy or Smart and Sassy?
This will have a huge impact on where we shoot your session and how we style you.
How do I find the perfect Senior Photographer?
You want to wear something that you would normally wear. If you are uncomfortable in a dress, it will show in your pictures.
You can have fantastic pictures and still be comfortable. Your job is to be you and to have fun. My job is to make you look great!
**PRO-TIP** When picking out shoes, make sure that you can walk in them, or bring flip flops to wear in between shooting so that you can walk to the next location.
The best way to get different looks during your session is to wear layers.
No matter if you are in jeans and a t-shirt or a sundress, you can always add a jacket to change your look.
A lot of my guys like to wear a t-shirt under a dress shirt to change their look. Add a jacket, and you have three different looks.
The perfect accessory can make a good session fabulous.
Think scarves, hats, earrings, sunglasses. Any fun prop from a sport or activity. You can interchange and play around with them for different looks.
